Responsibilities
Assists in providing design engineering support for daily sales orders and new product development, customizing existing products to meet special customer requirements
Assists in driving cost reduction initiatives
Assists in maintaining current product configurators for order entry and BOM accuracy
Assists sales and customers with technical product questions and troubleshooting, as well as RFQ requirements for special product applications and quotations
Explore modeling automation potential to improve ETO documentation, design standardization, process improvements, BOM error reduction
As built wiring diagram development project – configurator type of diagram generation based on options ordered
Lead special projects to drive standardization, process and product improvements
Support ETO order processing as a backup to team, will aid in product and process knowledge that will be beneficial in developing improvement projects
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
Experience in 2D/3D modeling with tools such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc
Working knowledge of UL/CSA requirements, engineering/manufacturing change processes, vapor compression, and heat transfer principles
Basic understanding of single and three phase power
Strong analytical skills to analyze empirical data for refrigeration systems
Experience with ERP/MRP engineering functions
Excellent communication, coordination, and presentation skills for interface with coworkers, managers, and customers
Preferred
Advanced degree in Engineering
Experience in design and development of evaporators and/or condensing units for commercial refrigeration or air conditioning applications
Experience with Oracle ERP
Experience with Toyota Production System is a plus
