Responsibilities

Work with the Team on Safety, Quality, Production and Cost improvements throughout the melt shop
Work collaboratively with the team to refine our process and reach team goals
Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times

Qualification

Engineering degreeSteel manufacturing experienceContinuous process improvementData analysisMicrosoft OfficeERP softwareAutoCADLeadership experience

Required

Degree in Engineering or related field
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future)
Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times
Willingness to comply with a rotating work schedule working 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, etc. as needed

Preferred

2 years Steel/Manufacturing Experience in an industrial setting
2 years of experience in continuous process improvement and process validation
2 years of experience in data analysis and trend identification
Leadership experience
Proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Office, ERP software, and AutoCAD
