Senior Quality Control Analyst

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive quality control reviews of mortgage insurance files to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
Analyze data and trends to identify potential risks and areas for improvement in the quality control process
Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, claims, and compliance, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on quality control findings, trends, and recommendations for senior management
Stay updated on industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and quality improvement
Mentor and provide guidance to junior quality control analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. Additional years of on the job experience will also be considered
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, underwriting or compliance within the mortgage insurance or financial services industry
Strong knowledge of mortgage insurance products, underwriting processes, and regulatory requirements
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
Proficiency in quality control software and tools

Preferred

Strong knowledge of mortgage insurance regulations and industry best practices
