Responsibilities

Generating and analyzing system requirements
Developing and validating functional and system architectures
Evaluating the application and trade-offs of various technologies
Contributing recommendations based on recent advances, best practices, and gaps in the application of systems

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, operations research, or a related engineering field
2 – 4 years of experience for Systems Engineer I
4 – 6 years of experience for Systems Engineer II
5 – 8 years of experience for Systems Engineer III
8 – 11 years of experience for Systems Engineer IV
12+ years of experience for Systems Engineer V
Ability to elicit stakeholder needs
Ability to generate and analyze system requirements
Ability to develop and validate functional and system architectures
Ability to evaluate the application and trade-offs of various technologies
Understanding of impacts and considerations on the national airspace system
Ability to contribute recommendations based on recent advances, best practices, and gaps in the application of systems

Preferred

Past experience in the FAA and aviation domain
Advanced degrees (Masters, PhD) will be considered with lower years of experience at each level
