Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure optimal equipment performance
Order and manage spare parts and materials required for repairs and maintenance
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
Ensure all mechanical work is performed in accordance with Navy safety and operational standards

Required

Troubleshooting skills
Mechanical background
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
Ability to use hand and power tools
Valid state driver's license and ability to obtain or maintain base driving authorization
Current forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon assignment
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs. and perform physical duties related to mechanical work
Strong attention to detail, accountability, and adherence to Navy safety and operational procedures
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred

Experience as a Machinist or Programmer
An active DoD Secret Clearance
