Responsibilities

Identify, recruit, grow, and retain top talent in engineering

Enable and empower engineers to focus on engineering tasks effectively

Deliver the product according to agreed requirements, budget, quality, and schedule

Collaborate with product and system engineering teams to agree on delivery schedules and quality criteria

Provide technical mentorship to the team alongside technical leadership

Participate in strategic activities aimed at executing the global vision of Arene

Apply and refine engineering processes and policies to enhance team performance

Act as a technical leader and partner with the management team to contribute to the Arene mission

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is a plus

At least 5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, with responsibility for multiple teams or departments

At least 10+ years of experience delivering complex software products/services using modern development practices

Expertise in at least one programming language (C++, Rust, Python, GoLang)

Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams, including product, system engineering, and executive leadership

Preferred

Experience developing software systems for automated test environments (SIL, HIL), including simulation and emulation

Experience with embedded software for robotics, automotive, or related industries

Experience with hardware design and development (digital electronics, PCB design)

Knowledge or experience with interfaces and protocols used in automotive systems (CAN, Ethernet, SERDES)

Knowledge or experience with safety (ISO 26262, IEC 61508) and security (ISO 21434) standards

Bilingual communication skills in English and Japanese
