Responsibilities

Assist with preliminary to final design calculations and plan development
Review field information
Conduct possible field inspections of existing facilities
Determine right-of-way requirements
Coordinate with utilities
Participate in detailed plan development for all phases of a design project
Use AutoCAD, OpenRoads Designer, or other design software packages
Apply technical training to perform basic calculations
Adjust to short-term assignments and remain dedicated to long-term projects

Required

Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and must have completed at least one year of study
Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor's degree and plan to continue with the Master's degree are eligible to apply for these positions
Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor's degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship

Computer literacy and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly are a requirement
