Responsibilities

Own and drive the overall software feature roadmap for software systems group
Own and communicate the overall SW model year release plan
Plan, track, and manage system software delivery milestones
Drive consistency in software release/delivery processes across components
Collaborate with development and test teams to drive robust systems verification plan that meets program milestones for DV, PV, SOP
Represent software engineering in cross-functional forums to communicate program status and ensure delivery of a great motorcycle and riding experience
Oversee software/electrical architecture decisions to ensure achievement of all program-level requirements with emphasis on simplification and optimization
Maintain continuous improvement backlog. Act as a subject matter expert and resource for continuous improvement roadmap planning
Acts as an expert resource regarding change management Best Practices

Required

Bachelor's Degree Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience
Expert skills and experience leading technical teams in a product development environment from concept to production launch
Proven ability to work within a structured development process
Knowledge of whole-vehicle systems with detailed software and electrical system/component design & integration experience
Ability to communicate technical subjects in a clear and understandable fashion to multiple levels of the organization
Capable of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. Proven track record of creative problem-solving
Success coordinating teams of internal stakeholders and suppliers to meet aggressive quality and performance objectives. Ability to lead and influence cross-functional team members without direct authority

Preferred

Masters of Science degree (MS) in a technical field is preferred
