Sr. Electrical Design Engineer (Hybrid - Aguadilla, Puerto Rico)

They are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer responsible for designing and developing electronic control units for military and commercial aircraft, ensuring compliance with specifications and coordinating with various teams.

Responsibilities
Designs, modifies, and evaluates electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in other equipment and devices
Perform circuit simulation and design verification test
Leads root cause investigations by collaborating across engineering departments, customer, and other groups to resolve problems
Address obsolescence of components in designs
Support creation of Test Requirement Specifications (TRS) and development of production test solution
Circuit Board Level Requirements analysis and decomposition
Oversees, reviews, and provides developmental feedback to junior team members
Travel to our location in Santa Isabel on occasion
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Experience with electrical engineering, electrical design concepts, and/or electronics trouble shooting
Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
Preferred
Experience reading and understanding assembly drawings, circuit card schematics, and assembly instructions
Experience with Unit and Module Requirements creation using Doors and/or SysML modelling tools such as Cameo
Experience with cadence design suite and or Mentor Graphics for schematic capture
Experience with mixed Signal Design - Receiver A/D Converters, Direct Digital Converters, Receiver D/A Converters, Digital Waveform Generators, Mixed Signal CCAs, Mixed Signal Modules and Subsystems
Experience with digital design: MUXs, gates, buffers, registers, ram memory, flash memory
Experience with simulation tools: PSpice, MATLAB, Mathcad, etc
The ability to analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components
