Responsibilities
Lead multiple engineering teams in coordination with VP, Technology, to support our growing business needs and deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient products and platforms for Direct Supply
Participate in broad technology strategy in collaboration with other leaders, aligning project goals and teams to deliver on business outcomes
Build, grow, and lead a team of technology and engineering professionals, ensuring project commitments are met on time, within budget, and with high quality
Serve as a technical liaison between development teams and business stakeholders, maintaining an understanding of the development process and providing oversight in conjunction with Development Leads, Architects, and Systems Analysts
Establish and maintain a culture of team mentorship, continually strengthening core competencies in craftsmanship, platforms, and architecture
Facilitate relationships with external customers and coordinate work with their technology teams to deliver business value
Prioritize efforts to reduce operational load, merge and eliminate projects that do not align with business goals, and balance resources to grow team capabilities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering
10+ years of IT and Software Engineering work experience including software design and development
5+ years of experience leading technical professionals and software development teams
Experience leading in a large technology platform and/or large organization
Experience with software and database design concepts
Strong technical experience in .NET, Web, and Mobile development as well as object-oriented design and coding skills (C++ and/or Java)
Track record of successful technology introduction and process improvement
Preferred
Experience leading delivery on large scale projects
Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) platforms, algorithms, and relational databases
Experience with leading technology teams developing platforms for use by external customers
Experience with managing support request ticket queues and transforming recurring requests into automated workflows
