Manager, Manufacturing Engineer
Pryer Aerospace Llc is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Engineer to oversee manufacturing and process development. The role involves analyzing customer specifications, coordinating with departments for efficient production methods, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
Analyze customer specifications to determine feasibility, cost, and production timelines
Conduct research, design, and development of manufacturing processes and methods
Coordinate with departments to ensure efficient production methods and tooling design
Recommend design changes to meet customer specifications and manufacturing capabilities
Test manufacturing methods for proper task performance and process reliability
Proficient ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Experience utilizing concepts such as PFMEA, RC/CA and statistical analysis
Ability to develop process control plans and apply problem solving concepts to complex situations
Collaborate with contract review and project management to align contracts with quotes and specifications
Review and update router configurations, scheduling methods, and workflow planning
Submit detailed written recommendations on design or contract revisions to leadership for approval
Manage multiple engineering disciplines to achieve complementary efforts
Liaise with customers regarding design changes, requirements, and technical concerns
Document and communicate manufacturing requirements and project details across teams
Provide technical training and assistance with operations during fabrication and prove-out stages
Evaluate and address quality issues during manufacturing launch
Support corrective action reports (CARs) and quality initiatives
Perform cost reduction and efficiency evaluations across processes
Lead or support initiatives focused on lean manufacturing and operational improvements
Oversee the product lifecycle from development through production support
Provides technical assistance and/or training of fabrication methods or customer specifications to operations personnel during prove-out and runoff of a customer’s part or component. Evaluates and solves fabrication problems
Responsible for entire product life cycle. Responsible for the facilitation and resolution of all CARs (Corrective Action Reports), either through engineering or any other applicable department with responsibility in resolution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in engineering or related technical discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to manage engineering teams with multiple disciplines
Experience with Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Foreign Object Damage Awareness, ISO 9001, and NADCAP standards
Knowledge of material selection, tooling design, and fixturing principles
Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation, professional journals, and regulatory guidelines
Strong background in metallic detail manufacturing, including stretching, hot forming, machining and assembly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in MS computer systems, ERP systems, CAD tools, PLM platforms and Material Management software
Proficiency in database systems, CAD design tools, internet applications, manufacturing software, order processing, spreadsheets, and word processing software
Legally able to work in the U.S
Adhere to OSHA, NADCAP, ISO9000 / AS9100, ITAR, FAA regulations and company specific safety standards
Internal Certifications: Forklift, Slings/Cranes, or others deemed appropriate
