The Controls Engineer will design, code, and test control systems for pressure sensitive labelers and integrated labeling systems, collaborating with various teams to ensure quality and performance standards are met.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain control system designs, schematics, and BOMs for pressure sensitive labeling systems

Code, test, and debug/troubleshoot PLC & HMI programs

Provide technical support for FATs, on-site installation, and after-sales support (troubleshooting both in field and over the phone)

Manage electrical / controls portions of all non-standard projects

Work with panel shop technicians to ensure that assembly, wiring, installation, and operation of control panels and electrical systems conform to quality standards, applicable codes, and customer requirements

Handle component selection and specification

Provide support to sales for equipment selection, hardware pricing, and labor estimates for customized products

Write validation and design specification documentation as required

Travel up to 10% to customer sites
