Assistant Actuary or Financial Analyst V

Responsibilities
Meet modeling needs through deep model expertise, including but not limited to: End-to-end model process knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities, ALFA/Integrate development skills and feature engineering, Accountability for technical components of all respective Business Unit models in ALFA/Integrate
Own month-end control process execution and change validation
Manage model risk through attention to detail, thorough change validation, and an accountability mindset
Apply VA/RILA product knowledge to understand and explain model outputs and change impacts
Build positive and productive relationships with business unit model owners to define and deliver key objectives that drive value for the business
Influence key stakeholders across the organization to drive efficient actuarial processes
Effectively work as part of the broader Enterprise Modeling Team and collaborate with IT, Accounting, and other areas to understand capabilities and value alignment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science or related field and 4+ years of actuarial work experience required
Strong analytical and effective communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of Variable Annuities and Registered Index-Linked Annuities
Knowledge of MG-ALFA or other actuarial modeling platform
Knowledge of actuarial processes, including Valuation (STAT & GAAP), Cash Flow Testing, and Forecasting
Able to direct the work of others and assist in their education and development
Preferred
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries preferred. Open to a Financial Analyst with extensive modeling experience
Knowledge of spreadsheets, technical skills, or the ability to learn is preferred
