Responsibilities
Senior Counsel, Research & Sponsored Programs is a motivated individual who believes in Cooper’s mission to serve, to heal, and to educate to improve the lives of Cooper patients and the communities it serves
This is an advanced position which must work independently and collaborate with other professionals and departments under the direction of General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel
Senior Counsel, Research & Sponsored Programs, must be able to lead projects with minimal oversight
Senior Counsel, Research & Sponsored Programs, must possess excellent legal research and writing skills in addition to having the desire, disposition, and integrity necessary to work well with fellow members of Cooper’s legal department, members of Cooper’s healthcare and administrative departments, members of the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs, and outside counsel
Senior Counsel, Research & Sponsored Programs, must project a positive attitude and foster a team approach with his or her colleagues
Qualification
Required
6-10 years required
Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctor required
Active bar admission in good standing and eligible for New Jersey licensure (unrestricted license preferred)
Admission to the New Jersey Bar required within one year of employment required
