Responsibilities

Define, design, develop, test, certify and improve cutting-edge software products

Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of systems and software throughout the development process

Involve in the design and development of new software products throughout the product lifecycle

Required

Requires bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or master's +6 yrs experience)

Typically, 8+ years of related experience

Expertise in one to multiple programming languages and advanced understanding of software development principles

Ability to design and architect complex software systems

Experience with different software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum/Kanban

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to mentor and guide other engineers

The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred

Hands-on experience with the Open Mission Systems (OMS) and Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) standards

Advanced expertise in requirements management and system modeling tools, such as No Magic Cameo

Proven experience in software architecture, including functional decomposition, interface definition, and software design

Strong understanding and practical application of software design patterns

Experience in creating detailed software interface control documents and algorithm description documents

Proficiency in developing and managing requirements using advanced modeling techniques

In-depth knowledge of industry-standard design principles, including but not limited to requirements management and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

Certification or practical experience with International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standards

Solid background in the Aerospace and Defense industry

Familiarity with defining and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs) to ensure project success

Demonstrated experience in defining and developing test cases based on architectural documentation and system requirements
