Production Manager
Arcosa Inc. is a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. The Production Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate operations at the Ashland City barge manufacturing plant, focusing on improving performance, productivity, and efficiency.

Responsibilities
Implement strategic plans to improve production, quality, and labor utilization throughout the facility
Provide leadership needed to ensure effective utilization of plant personnel and equipment to meet product specifications and criteria that are shipped from the facility
Work with all functional departments in the implementation of all continuous improvement activities associated with the manufacturing operations
Maintain the manufacturing staff by recruiting, selecting, orientating and training employees to ensure a fully staffed and competent workforce
Strong mentoring skills in coaching and mentoring skills for a developing supervision staff as well as hourly personnel
Investigate and implement innovative methods of manufacturing processes to reduce cost and improve quality of the product
Manage the manufacturing team to ensure that the operation maintains a safe and environmentally compliant work environment
Apply lean manufacturing principles to design, specify, and validate world-class manufacturing processes to achieve cost, quality, and capacity goals
Drive manufacturing readiness for product launch and transfer to production
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business preferred, or applicable experience
Minimum of 5 years of applicable Manufacturing Management experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in metal fabrication and manufacturing environment
Experience, knowledge or training of Lean Manufacturing methodologies with actual implementation background
