Responsibilities

Act as the subject matter expert for all electrical systems within the data center, including PDUs, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, and generators
Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting and resolving electrical failures, optimizing system performance, and mitigating risks
Develop and implement operational procedures, maintenance strategies, and reliability programs for electrical infrastructure
Partner with design and construction teams to influence electrical system design for resiliency, scalability, and long-term operations
Analyze electrical system performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with vendors and contractors to evaluate new technologies and ensure alignment with industry standards and company requirements
Lead root cause analysis for power-related incidents and develop corrective and preventive action plans
Provide training and mentorship to operations and maintenance staff on electrical system operations, safety, and best practices
Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations
Support the commissioning of new electrical infrastructure and manage transition into operations
Prepare documentation, reports, and technical recommendations for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
7+ years of experience with high-voltage equipment and large-scale power systems (transformers 5MVA – 500MVA)
Strong understanding of transformer testing techniques and standards (e.g., DGA, SFRA, tan delta, partial discharge)
Experience with substation design, relay protection schemes, and SCADA integration
Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NETA, and NFPA 70E standards
Proven ability to manage electrical projects from design through commissioning
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
Experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, utilities, or industrial power infrastructure
Familiarity with blockchain hosting or high-density computing facilities
Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring junior engineers or operations staff
