Responsibilities
Design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and data models for structured and unstructured data
Build scalable architectures supporting batch and real-time processing across cloud and on-prem environments
Implement data quality frameworks, governance policies, and validation rules
Develop API endpoints and integrations for AI agents to access structured information
Manage vector databases and semantic layers for AI-driven search and contextual grounding
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions aligned with business and AI needs
Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in DataOps and pipeline orchestration
Qualification
Required
Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, and experience with ETL/ELT tools (Airflow, dbt, Kafka)
Expertise in data modeling, distributed systems, and cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and observability tools (DataHub, Great Expectations)
Experience with vector databases and feature store design for AI/ML workflows
Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize performance
Preferred
Background in regulated industries or environments with stringent compliance requirements
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with semantic modelling, metadata management, and emerging AI/ML data integration patterns
Experience with CI/CD for data workflows, version control, and Agile methodologies
