Responsibilities
Lead system architecture, run technical reviews, and own cross-team integration and interfaces across two Scrum teams
Participate and lead discovery, prototyping, and the architectural runway to ensure delivery readiness and technical alignment
Design and evolve client-side architecture for web and mobile while ensuring consistency across platforms
Design and build effective, observable, and scalable backend services in Go
Define and drive non-functional requirements: scalability, availability, security, observability, and performance
Coach and mentor senior engineers; influence hiring, on-call practices, and engineering standards
Work closely with Product and Design to translate customer problems into technical solutions and measurable outcomes
Improve engineering processes and tooling to reduce cycle time and increase reliability
Qualification
Required
8+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems
Demonstrated experience leading architecture and delivery across multiple teams
Strong proficiency with React/Next.js, Go
Hands-on experience with observability, incident response, and performance tuning
Proven track record delivering systems with strong UX, maintainability, and operational quality
Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Scalr)
Experience with Next.js and server-side rendering patterns
Prior experience in distributed systems, high-traffic services, or data-intensive platforms
Experience with data science platforms
