Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance and Ethics - Earnings (Independent Contractors)
Walmart Canada is seeking a skilled compliance professional to help manage their global Earnings & Tax Compliance program for independent contractors. The Senior Manager will assist in executing compliance strategies, policies, and controls to ensure compliance with evolving regulations and maintain the integrity of the contractor earnings ecosystem.

Responsibilities
Respond to compliance and ethics questions, monitor laws and regulations impacting contractor earnings globally, and help translate findings into updated policies and procedures
Conduct gap analyses, identify compliance risks, and support the development and execution of corrective action plans
Assist in developing and implementing strategies and controls to ensure compliance with new and emerging regulations, collaborating with leadership to roll out effective training programs
Support the definition and benchmarking of compliance policies, contribute to risk management practices, and coordinate with outside counsel and consultants on tax and regulatory matters as needed
Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of compliance programs using KPIs, support regulatory engagement, and help formalize internal and external positions on compliance issues
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area
2 years' supervisory experience
3 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office
7+ years of experience in compliance, tax, legal, or regulatory roles, including 2+ years in a management or team lead position
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax compliance and earnings regulations for contractors/gig workers
Experience supporting the design and implementation of compliance frameworks in complex, fast-paced environments
Proficiency in risk management, investigations, audits, and regulatory engagement
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Preferred
Masters: Business Administration
Project Management - Project Management Professional - Certification
