Business Development Associate – North America Payments

Western Union is seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Executive to accelerate commercial growth within the biller segment. This role focuses on acquiring new business through proactive outbound prospecting, lead generation, and strategic engagement.

Responsibilities

Proactively source and qualify new leads via cold outreach, networking, and market research
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients across targeted industries and geographies
Schedule and conduct introductory meetings to understand client needs and present tailored solutions
Negotiate favorable contract terms with prospective clients
Ensure seamless progression from contract execution to active transaction flow
Collaborate with internal teams to expedite onboarding and remove activation barriers
Monitor outreach activity, conversion rates, and pipeline metrics using CRM tools
Provide regular performance updates to senior leadership
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
Partner with marketing and product teams to refine messaging and support lead generation campaigns

Market Research Tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator): Basic – identify and qualify prospects
Data Analysis & Reporting: Basic – interpret sales metrics and dashboards
Communication: High proficiency – articulate ideas and engage prospects effectively
