Responsibilities

Assist in all aspects of supervise and coordinate assigned crew(s) and subordinate supervision in all aspects of installation, alteration, demolition, maintenance and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, assemblies, and associated materials and equipment on all type of projects within the electrical construction industry
Meet or exceed project schedules, productivity standards, and monetary budgets
Has strong expertise in all aspects of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems, methods of installations, safety procedures, safe work practices, trade related calculations, blueprint and drawing interpretation, and trouble shooting
Operates any hand tools, power tools, and equipment necessary to perform all trade associated
Effectively communicates and interfaces with peers, crew, project supervision, and General Contractor
Coordinates work and activities with the Project Manager, General Contractor, customer, and other trades
Forecasts and orders manpower, material, tool, and equipment needs well in advance to assure that the proper tools/equipment, materials, information, manpower, and other requirements are on the project when needed
Proceeds with work via written and verbal instructions, plans, drawings, or specifications
Directly responsible for the supervision and management of all employees and supervision under his/her jurisdiction
Lays out and schedules work for subordinate supervision, lead persons, and crew as needed
Correctly fulfills, in a timely manner, administrative requirements and documentation such as time sheets, labor coding, daily logs, material and tool requisitions, man loading schedules, reports (i.e. incident/injury, employee notifications, etc.)
Monitors labor productivity, Quality Control, and directs subordinate supervision and crews in such a manner so as to meet project schedules and production quotas
Coordinate and manages equipment rentals
Identifies, schedules, and facilitates all needed inspections
Prepares detail drawings for job as needed
Instructs assigned employees in the correct operation of tools and equipment, safe work practices, electrical principles, and applicable NEC
Evaluate employees under his/her supervision
Performs disciplinary actions, procedures, and documentation
Troubleshoot and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment
Perform EEW procedures up to 480 volts
Perform metering and testing up to 480 volts
Utilize NEC codebook as needed
Comprehends, abides by, and enforces Stansell Electric customer policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Documents and reports all violations
Attend all Foreman Meetings
May be called upon to perform the duties of JW1 through FR1
Works with tools alongside crew when required or as directed
Perform other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervision

Required

High School Diploma or GED
5+ Years Journeyman Electrician Experience
Mechanical aptitude
Mathematical skills
Literacy skills

Ability to constantly move about on the feet
Ability to complete a full day's assignments involving bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
Ability to dig trenches and excavations, either by use of hand tools or power equipment
Ability to operate two handed tools/equipment such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers
Ability to operate aerial personnel lifts
Ability to transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas
Ability to wear all personal protective equipment at all times as required by the specific task
Ability to climb and work from all types of ladders
Ability to operate company vehicles with manual or automatic transmission
Ability to utilize construction site sanitary facilities
Ability to work a 40 hour work week, with overtime and off-hour shifts as required
Personal weight including tool pouch, tools, nail bags, and tool belt must not exceed 300 lbs
Possession of good hearing, normal or corrected
Possession of good vision, normal or corrected
Positive identification of wiring colors
