Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH) Engineer

The Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH) Engineer will focus on developing and analyzing high-fidelity vibration models of engines, collaborating with various engineering teams to enhance product robustness.

Responsibilities
Develop Modal & Vibration system models of our reciprocating gas engine gensets in various application/ integrations
Integrate and co-simulate with other physics domains, including flexible bodies and powertrain
Validate simulation models by correlating results with physical test data (e.g., vibration and modal testing)
Provide timely and accurate simulation results to support design decisions and attribute target setting throughout the product development lifecycle
Develop automated workflows and scripts using languages like Python to improve simulation efficiency and throughput
Create comprehensive technical reports and presentations to communicate simulation findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams
Work with cross-functional engineering teams to expand technical knowledge and understanding of industrial gas engines
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a Bachelor's with extensive experience will be considered
3+ years of experience with multibody dynamics simulation in the engines, automotive or heavy machinery industry
At least 3 years of experience in CAE/FEA simulation and optimization using ANSYS or Abaqus
Proficiency with a major MBD software package, such as AVL Excite, MSC Adams or Simpack
Solid theoretical foundation in kinematics, dynamics, vibration, and mechanics
Experience with test data analysis and model-to-test correlation
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future
Preferred
Proficiency in AVL Excite
Proficiency in scripting with Python, MATLAB, Scilab or a similar language
Familiarity with flexible body (Component Mode Synthesis) integration into MBD models
