Responsibilities
Interface directly with customers and other project managers (both internal & external as the technical point of contact) and provide engineering status and progress reports
Perform conceptual design work, engineering calculations, and interpret analysis results
Prepare and check manufacturing (assembly, weldment, and machined components) drawings
Write and/or review technical proposals, equipment evaluations, and procurement specifications
Prepare technical procedures (factory acceptance test, load test, etc.) and technical specifications (scope of supply, master document list, design specification, etc.)
Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, applicable standards (ISO, API, and DNV), contract requirements, and related specifications
Perform design reviews and presentations with internal and external customers
Delegate assignments of various portions to supporting team members (Designers, Analysts, Technicians, etc.)
Conduct on site product testing (common) and offshore field operations (rare) of hardware as needed
Work cooperatively with a team to complete assignments and achieve goals in group settings

Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (or related engineering discipline)
Minimum 3 years of engineering experience – Offshore Energy or Manufacturing experience preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
Working knowledge of Solid works and Enovia or similar Product Life Management (PLM) system - formal classes or 1 year experience
Minimum 3 years of experience with Engineering Fundamentals, including structures, pressure vessel design and stress calculations
Preferred
Working Knowledge of Primavera, Mathcad, Fluency in Excel, PE or FE certification
Experience with installing, operating, or designing Junction Plates or Subsea Distribution Systems
