Tax Manager, Dealer Services
Ascend is a modern professional advisory firm focused on transforming the public accounting experience. They are seeking a Tax Manager to lead tax engagements and supervise a team, primarily serving clients in the automotive retail and other for-profit industries.

Responsibilities
Lead and support a strong portfolio of auto dealership clients, in addition to engagements across other industries
Occasional travel to auto dealership industry conferences across the U.S. - typically 3 per year in notable locations (such as Las Vegas, Napa, and Charleston)
Provide initial and/or final review support for federal, state, and multi-state individual tax returns for corporate business owners and high net worth individuals
Build client relationships and serve as trusted advisor to effectively deliver superior client services
Identify opportunities for value-added services and potential cross-selling of other firm services to existing clients
Exemplary leadership skills and the ability to mentor, train, and develop staff members
Support partner team in practice development; including attending conferences, networking events, and training and speaking engagements
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience preparing and reviewing corporate and individual income tax returns
Active CPA or EA
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Proficient in project management including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and research
Strong attention to detail
Integrity within a professional environment
Preferred
Experience with CCH Axcess tax and Knowledge Coach
Familiarity with automotive retail industry
