Responsibilities

Undertake detailed engineering design for gravity and lateral systems of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures
Communicate directly with clients and building officials
Assist in preparing design development and construction documents
Create and interpret data from 3D structural analysis models using commercial software as listed in qualifications
Keep senior staff informed of important and relevant design decisions and progress towards achieving the client’s objectives
Assist in progressing standards and technical knowledge of the firm
Willingness to travel up to 10% to ensure adequate support of Kurt Fischer Structural Engineering’s projects

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
Ability to effectively work in a team-based organization

Experience with BIM tools such as REVIT Structural

Preferred

Master's degree
EIT license
Preferred computer program knowledge in RISA 3D, Microsoft Excel, SAFE, ETABS, Bluebeam, Ram Structural Systems and Enercalc
