Responsibilities
Investigate and prosecute a wide range of complex economic crimes throughout Illinois
Provide legal advice and assistance to law enforcement agencies during investigations
Evaluate cases for prosecution, initiate prosecutions, and handle cases through sentencing and post-trial motions
Conduct grand jury investigations and litigate grand jury matters
Draft petitions for and obtain search warrants and overhear orders
Work with law enforcement in planning undercover operations
Qualification
Required
In-depth knowledge of the principles of criminal law, in general
Some knowledge of the statutes used to prosecute various types of white collar crime
Two or more years of felony trial experience, preferably involving white collar crime
Knowledge of the law of evidence as it relates to privileges
Must be an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois at the time of application
Willingness to travel
