The Baltimore Banner is expanding its team and is seeking a passionate Digital Media Sales Executive. This role involves driving new business opportunities and building strong client relationships by delivering integrated advertising solutions.

Responsibilities

Drive new business by identifying, cultivating, and closing advertising opportunities across digital, branded content, sponsorships, and event platforms
Build strong client relationships by understanding marketing goals and delivering solutions that align with client objectives and The Banner’s mission
Collaborate across teams — work with marketing, audience, analytics, and product to create and execute high-impact campaigns that deliver measurable results
Manage your sales pipeline through disciplined CRM usage, ensuring accurate forecasting, timely follow-ups, and exceptional client communication
Educate clients on The Banner’s full suite of digital offerings, including programmatic display, newsletters, sponsorships, and custom content
Stay informed on trends in digital media, data analytics, and local market dynamics to position The Banner as a trusted advertising partner
Represent The Banner at community, business, and industry events to build brand visibility and foster new relationships
Contribute to team success by bringing energy, collaboration, and a solution-oriented mindset to every interaction

Required

3+ years of experience in digital media, advertising sales, or marketing partnerships — ideally with a focus on local or regional markets
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals
Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms, campaign analytics, and integrated marketing strategies
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
A positive, proactive, and entrepreneurial attitude — with the ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment
A genuine enthusiasm for The Banner's mission and the power of local journalism
