Responsibilities
Support Yard Manager for all requested tasks pertaining to yard operations
Ensure yard is operating under CTPAT guidelines
Arrange trailers to be in proper staging position using yard mule or truck provided (Drive truck, hooks, and unhooks trailer)
Assist other drivers for any issues dropping or picking up equipment from yard
Follows outbound team leader's guideline & directions for proper yard maintenance
Supervise gate inspection staffs to execute minimal wait time for drivers during inspection
Validate accuracy of inventory data via daily/weekly inventory check
Be a utility team player to allow efficient yard operation
Audit all other Otay yards (XTRA, TILI, IMEX, Overflow yard) for inventory accuracy
Maintain proper yard SOP & support establishing lean operation/improvement
Troubleshoot as needed to facilitate seamless yard operations under supervision of Yard Manager
Maintain proper inventory via YMS system records audit/review while keeping appropriate Ingate/Outgate records
Manage 3rd party repair vendors for onsite services, including equipment repairs
Support other MQ FF Operations departments (Claims, Inbound Operations, Outbound Operations, Planning, etc.) when needed to combat discrepancies and/or fulfill customers and carriers inquiries related to yard operations
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organization and time management skills
H.S Diploma/G.E.D
3 - 5 Years of direct experience in Yard Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain
Valid Driver's License
Preferred
Commercial driver license
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Associate's Degree
4 - 7 Years of direct experience in Yard Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain
