Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities are lab based and include tissue culture thaw, initiation, maintenance, expansion, and cryopreservation of suspended and adherent mammalian cells, for large scale in vivo studies
Execution and troubleshooting protocols for thawing, seeding, expansion, and cryopreservation. Proposes creative tissue culture solutions
Experience culturing immune cells such as T cells, NK cells, etc
Reports observation and progress of cell cultures
Preparation of media, buffers and reagents as required
Experience with immunohistochemistry techniques such as sectioning, staining, and imaging
Experience with flow cytometry techniques a plus
Keeps organized detailed study records and communicates progress
Maintains in vitro documents to comply with regulatory requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree, high school diploma or equivalent and at least four (4) plus years of previous tissue culture experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Ability to perform large scale tissue culture
Ability to follow all aspects of aseptic cell culture technique including adherence to regulatory guidelines
Ability to follow established in vitro SOPs and create new ones as required
Must be organized, detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills
Must be able to withstand sustained periods of physical activity such as standing, bending, stooping, reaching above shoulder level and the ability to lift 50 lbs

Preferred

Experience with flow cytometry techniques a plus
