Responsibilities

Draft estate planning and probate documents

Support and assist with estate and trust administration processes

Attend client meetings and maintain frequent client contact for administration matters

Prepare financial statements, accountings, schedules, and Excel model analyses

Prepare various tax returns, including:

Fiduciary (Form 1041)

Estate (Form 706)

Gift (Form 709)

Individual (Form 1040)

Non-profit (Forms 990 & 990PF)

Partnership (Form 1065)

Consistently achieve billable hour expectation set by the firm (including approved non-billable time)

Qualification

Estate planning experienceTax preparation experienceMicrosoft ExcelParalegal certificateTax preparation softwareClient communicationOrganizational skillsAttention to detail

Required

High School Diploma/GED required

Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in estate planning, trust administration, and/or tax preparation required

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to meet deadlines

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program

Experience preparing forms 1041, 1040, 706, 709, 990, 990PF, and/or 1065 for tax returns strongly desired

Familiarity with tax preparation software (e.g., CCH, OneSource, UltraTax CS, GoSystem Tax RS) is a plus
