Traffic Signal Systems Timing Engineer

Responsibilities
Work on projects involving traffic signal timing optimization and implementation to maximize transportation system throughput (using SYNCHRO, Tru-Traffic, and similar programs)
Experience working with ATMS software, controllers, and traffic signal cabinets
Complete traffic safety and operational improvement studies for localized intersections and corridors
Provide analyses of traffic safety issues and crash reduction measures
Qualification
Required
BS/MS degree in Civil Engineering or related field
5-8+ years of professional traffic consulting experience
FL Professional Engineer License
Experience in traffic operations, with traffic signal retiming experience
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
The ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently
A strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieve
Excellent attention to detail
Experience with MicroStation
Expertise with Synchro and SimTraffic; experience with VISSIM a plus
