Membership Data Quality Analyst
The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is the first and largest organization dedicated to advances in cancer research. The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of membership data, collaborating with teams to establish data quality standards and implement processes to maintain data integrity.

Responsibilities
Evaluate the quality of data through data profiling, validation, and analysis. Identify and document data quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies
Define, recommend, and help establish data quality standards, guidelines, and best practices. Develop and maintain data quality rules and metrics to measure the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness of data
Collaborate with the IT department to design and execute data cleansing and transformation procedures. Implement data quality improvement initiatives to rectify identified issues
Develop and execute data validation tests and procedures to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Perform regular audits and reconciliations to verify the integrity of data across systems and databases
Investigate and troubleshoot data quality issues, collaborating with relevant teams to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions. Document and track issue resolution processes and outcomes
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data quality processes, standards, and methodologies. Generate reports and dashboards to communicate data quality metrics and trends to stakeholders
Continuously assess and improve data quality assurance processes and methodologies. Propose enhancements and automation opportunities to optimize data quality workflows
Train staff on data entry standards and provide guidance on data-related issues
Offer support to business users in resolving data-related issues and answering data quality-related queries
Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data quality assurance. Apply new knowledge to enhance data quality processes and methodologies within the organization
Performs other essential tasks and duties required of the position in order to support the Senior Manager as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
3-5 years of experience in data quality, data management, or database administration, preferably in a non-profit environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of data quality concepts, methodologies, and best practices
Experience in data analysis, profiling, and data cleansing techniques
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively and independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) and nonprofit databases is a plus
Experience in working with large datasets and complex data environments is a plus
