Internship Program Manager
Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services is seeking an Internship Program Manager who will serve as the central liaison for students throughout the internship lifecycle. This role involves promoting intern satisfaction, overseeing the HRSA BHWET program, and providing support for licensure and job placement.
Responsibilities
Primary sources of contact and communication to students including application, interviews, offers, intern orientation & throughout internship
Primary lead on all retention initiatives for intern-to-employee conversions
Intern peer community and alumni network development
Problem resolution for students (including JB employee OYR or work study interns) and for schools and sites when concerns focus on students
Support for intern/trainee obtaining licensure; provide study resources for the exam, schedule test, and support for obtaining limited permits
Pair trainees with mentors and monitor success of mentorship experience
Track all components of trainings delivered, attendees, and hours logged. This includes intern-wide trainings and site-specific trainings related to their interprofessional team-based models of care (Ex. CPP or ACT)
HRSA BWHET project specific responsibilities include: Job placement for HRSA interns, including one-on-one coaching/career counseling, resume writing support, job searching, and job placement services
Resolve any academic barriers that may impede a student's success in the internship
Implement strategies to connect a diverse workforce of trainees committed to serving high-need communities to post-graduate employment placements
Maintain regular contact with trainees after program completion to provide ongoing support and address any challenges they may face in securing employment
Ensure program activities align with HRSA guidelines, timelines, and deliverables
Data Management and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report program data to monitor progress and achieve program goals
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and HRSA policies and procedures
Maintain documentation and records required for program audits and reviews (ex. NPI numbers)
HRSA grant budget management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Education, or related field required
Training or experience in program management, compliance, or data reporting required
At least 3 years of experience in program administration, project management, or related field
Proficient with electronic health record
Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); comfortable and proficient using audio video platforms (i.e., Zoom)
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Strong listening skills, attention to detail and decision-making skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
Experience managing leaders/supervisors and staff
Pleasant, friendly attitude, with an ability to adapt to change
Desire for personal/professional growth and development
Superior problem-solving skills
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Experience working with federally funded programs or grants preferred
Experience engaging with diverse populations and underserved communities
Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) are a plus
