Responsibilities
Provide advanced technical, instructional, and training support to upgrade skills to obtain maximum performance on all aspects of the Air Operations Center force level weapons system
Administer refresher and advanced training to ANG military AOC weapons systems positional specialists
Instruct and evaluate AOC assigned technician personnel in advanced aerospace operations applications using current AOC weapons systems of record
Interview assigned enlisted AOC personnel to determine operational background in their respective weapons systems/specialties
Prescribe type, sequence, and extent of required training
Assist in the planning and development of instruction on AOC operations skills
Develop and instruct specific courses in all AOC phases of operations
Project enlisted unit training requirements
Prepare required training records
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all technical aspects of equipment assigned to the AOC weapons systems and its interface with applicable U.S. and allied, aircraft, space weapons systems, search and rescue, theater missile defense and air tasking order development and execution
Maintain unit positional qualification
Support and assist the development of briefings and mission preparations including: combat planning, weather factors, mission objectives, and other agency coordination to ensure effective mission execution
Assist in the design and coordination of comprehensive training plans and scenarios to provide realistic technical AOC training
Implement policy to ensure accomplishment of all required training
Assist in the interpretation, coordination and conduct of planning and execution of higher headquarters' contingency and exercise campaign guidance; operational plan (OPLAN) and air operations order (OPORD) development; provide technical expertise in ATO generation and distribution; airspace command and control (C2)
Coordinate internal and external exercises
Assist in the collection, review and dissemination of data on tactics and employment techniques for all weapons systems (friendly and enemy)
Maintain knowledge of enemy tactics and procedures
Manage all technical aspects of datalink interfaces in order to provide and accurate and consolidated air picture in the AOC
Assist in the performance of all datalink operations
Responsible for integrating all allocated airspace for a given theater of operations, both CONUS and OCONUS
Develop the Airspace Control Plan and published the Airspace Control Order (ACO) for each ATO
Exercise responsibility for the planning and execution of Air Refueling missions required to support air campaign plan

Required
You must meet the following Education requirement to qualify for education in lieu of specialized experience for this position: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M

This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Michigan Air National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform
Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment
Applicants who are not currently a member of the Michigan Air National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the Michigan Air National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service

Must have a valid civilian driver's license
Military Grades: E4-E8
1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience, education, or training routine and non-routine preflight, in-flight, post-flight, ground or command and control (C2) duties according to specific transportation functions. Receives, interprets, extracts, and disseminates relevant data for mission planning or execution. Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems
