EMS Engineer – Senior Leader
True Find Staffing is seeking an EMS Engineer – Senior Leader, a hybrid engineering role that combines advanced technical production with departmental leadership. The Senior Leader will perform high-level project engineering work while driving continuous improvement in engineering processes and ensuring compliance with the company’s Installation and Commissioning Standards.

Responsibilities
Execute all production and technical duties outlined for EMS Engineer Levels I, II, and III
Apply expert-level understanding of energy management systems, building automation, and control protocols across ALC and Distech platforms
Ensure all engineering deliverables—submittals, programming, graphics, and documentation—meet internal quality, accuracy, and compliance standards
Review, simulate, and validate all outgoing product data and system logic prior to transmission or release
Maintain consistent communication with the Engineering Manager and/or EMS Operations Manager, providing updates on progress, challenges, and team performance
Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, initiative, and technical excellence in every aspect of the role
Teach, mentor, and enforce adherence to company Engineering Standards across both ALC and Distech systems
Evaluate project performance through established benchmarks and provide feedback or corrective guidance as needed
Understand project scopes and delegate tasks effectively to ensure efficient use of personnel and timely project completion
Engage team members in decision-making, promoting collaboration and leveraging collective expertise
Share responsibility with the Engineering Manager for quality assurance (QA/QC) reviews of outgoing engineering work, maintaining regular availability for inspections and validation
Develop and maintain a structured training program for the engineering team, including both scheduled and ad-hoc (pop-up) sessions, delivered in-person or virtually
Identify critical training topics based on observed needs or emerging technologies and coordinate schedules with management
Track and report overall team development progress to the Engineering and Operations Managers, suggesting adjustments as needed
Apply comprehensive technical expertise from previous EMS engineering levels to ensure project accuracy, efficiency, and quality
Foster a positive, productive, and collaborative work environment, both in-office and remotely
Develop detailed project schedules and milestones, and communicate key updates, breakthroughs, or challenges to leadership in real time
Lead team and project meetings effectively, facilitating constructive discussions and promoting cross-functional alignment
Stay informed of product updates, software changes, and new technologies from Automated Logic Corporation, Distech, and related manufacturers
Integrate new products, strategies, and designs into company engineering standards and communicate updates to the team
Collaborate closely with Field Operations, Project Management, and Technician teams to ensure seamless project execution and knowledge sharing
Support departmental initiatives to improve processes, efficiency, and overall engineering performance
Qualification
Required
Advanced technical production experience in engineering
Departmental leadership experience in standards development, quality assurance, and personnel training
Expert-level understanding of energy management systems, building automation, and control protocols across ALC and Distech platforms
Ability to ensure all engineering deliverables meet internal quality, accuracy, and compliance standards
Experience in reviewing, simulating, and validating outgoing product data and system logic
Strong communication skills to maintain consistent updates with Engineering Manager and/or EMS Operations Manager
Ability to lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, initiative, and technical excellence
Experience in teaching, mentoring, and enforcing adherence to company Engineering Standards
Ability to evaluate project performance and provide feedback or corrective guidance
Understanding of project scopes and effective task delegation
Experience in engaging team members in decision-making and promoting collaboration
