Network Administrator

Responsibilities
Help design, configure, and tune US Government accredited on-prem connected and standalone, high and low, information systems and network connections (LAN and WAN) to ensure high levels of availability and Security
Configure and troubleshoot network components (to include encryption devices, firewalls, routers, and switches) to ensure high network availability and confidentiality. Monitor and test network performance, apply security controls, and provide statistics and reports on network performance and vulnerability management
Install, configure, monitor, and help maintain physical (ESXi) and virtual servers (Windows and RHEL), printers, scanners and custom developed applications. Install patches and upgrades to server hardware, firmware, and/or software
Provide support using multi-tiered troubleshooting techniques to address moderately complex problem analysis and resolution for systems and applications on accredited information systems
Perform internal Security audits and support external US Government audits on accredited information systems
Regularly analyze the compliance and performance of networks and associated components, servers, databases, applications, and various information systems and components against baseline configurations
Use critical analysis and develop solutions to optimize system/component performance, while ensuring compliance to company, DCSA, and best practice standards
Contribute to the RMF artifacts, policies, processes, and procedures necessary to obtain and maintain US Government accreditation for the information systems
Perform support tasks as needed to the Corporate Security Team, including the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), Information System Security Officer (ISSO), and/or the Facility Security Officer (FSO)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field, or 5+ years equivalent work experience
At least one (1) year of directly related hands-on experience in systems and/or network administration
Experience with the principles, methods, and techniques used in the phases of installation, configuration, server administration, and maintenance of IT and business systems
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment
Ability to successfully interact with all levels of management, auditors, other IT professionals, and end-users
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Open and responsive to change and demonstrates a commitment to the process of continuous improvement by identifying and responding actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers
Active DOD Security Clearance Required, with the ability to maintain clearance eligibility throughout employment
Preferred
Proven Network Expertise
Extensive experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting (including familiarity with routers, switches, and firewalls). Experience working in segmented or isolated network environments without traditional internet access is a plus
Security Focus
Strong understanding of network and server security principles, including firewalls, 802.1x, RADIUS, IDS/IPS, Encryption devices, and security best practices to ensure robust network defenses. Experience with CISCO ISE or Forescout C2C is a plus
Server Administration
Proficiency in managing and maintaining servers (Windows primarily), including performing regular updates without traditional internet access, patches, hardening (STIGs). Experience in virtualized environments preferred
Problem-Solving and Initiative
Strong troubleshooting abilities and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach and the ability to take initiative to identify, research, and resolve complex issues independently. Ability to prioritize various tasks in alignment to mission needs and is self-directed in task execution

Ability to provide exceptional customer service with the ability to professionally communicate verbally and in person with colleagues from various teams and organization levels
