New Grad, Entry LevelWabash is a company focused on truck body and trailer activities, and they are seeking an Upfit Technician I. The role involves performing high-level activities related to truck body and trailers, including diagnosing and repairing electrical and hydraulic issues, as well as assembling and disassembling truck bodies.

Responsibilities
Follow all Wabash WPO guidelines, attain all required certifications, work safely, and use proper PPE
Work in a team environment
Do repairs and procedures in a safe and timely manner
Operate Pneumatic and battery powered cordless tools
Read basic drawings and prints
Ability to operate lifting devices (forklift/ stacker)
Apply adhesives and mechanical fasteners, operate sanders and apply light duty paint material, operate saws and drill press equipment
Ability to record part numbers on work orders
Basic understanding of 12v or automotive electrical system
Before beginning an assignment, read the work order completely, check the VIN on the vehicle to ensure you have the correct components and vehicle for the assigned job
Perform other duties assigned by management
Qualification
Required
High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Advanced mechanical and 12v electrical skills with welding experience
Truck body or equipment manufacturing repair and ability to troubleshoot / problem solve with minimal supervision
Capability to work off scaffolding up ten to twelve feet
Must have a current driver's license
