NPI Engineering Intern (4605)
SubCom is a leading company in subsea fiber optic data cable engineering and manufacturing. They are seeking an NPI Engineering Intern to support the NPI Engineering group in transferring new product designs to manufacturing, focusing on Undersea Network Elements. The role involves specification review, assisting with testing, data collection, and documentation writing.

Responsibilities
• Specification and drawing review; review of product materials, dimensions, tolerances, and requirements
• Assist with testing and trials to build and qualify new products
• Collect trial and test data to help determine process and product capabilities
• Statistical analysis of data
• Document writing, could include Requirements Documents, Reports, Material Specifications, Non-conforming Material Reports, temporary process instructions
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years post-secondary education in an engineering discipline, preferably in mechanical, plastics, or chemical engineering
Mathematical and analytical skills required to perform technical duties
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) writing instructions and reports
Willingness to learn manufacturing processes and theory of operation of undersea cable systems
Preferred
Prior experience in manufacturing a plus
Additional computer skills with Project, PowerPoint, Access and Oracle would be a plus
