The Procurement and Supply Chain Intern will support the Procurement Category Managers in sourcing initiatives, evaluate supplier payment processes, and participate in various assignments to develop new skills and collaborate with different groups across the business.

Responsibilities

Support Procurement Category Managers in sourcing initiatives related to bidding out services and materials, contract and cost negotiation, and savings to budget evaluations. Categories to range from raw material commodities, Promotional Apparel, Pest control, heavy equipment and vehicles, and environmental services
Support communication across procurement, operations, safety and the Project management office about sourcing initiatives
Evaluate and improve upon supplier payment processes
Participate in site visits in the New England region with a potential for overnight stays

Required

Currently enrolled in accredited college/university Bachelor's degree program, pursuing degree in Business, Engineering or a related field
Basic knowledge of spreadsheet calculations and graphs, financial concepts, and business formalities in a corporate setting
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with a bonus if they are familiar with PowerBI, SharePoint or some sort of project management suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as complete individual tasks
