American Woodmark is searching for a Control Specialist with a strong emphasis in PLC programming. The primary responsibility of this role includes programming and upgrading PLCs, as well as evaluating system performance under actual operating conditions.

Responsibilities

Must be able to check installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions
Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language for required document control, equipment operation, and supervisor/peer instructions
Proficient working knowledge of Allen Bradley and Siemens plc's/controls/protocols platforms is recommended
Must be able to work other shifts and overtime to complete work as needed
Employee must be willing to be on call to support production needs
Must have computer skills, with the capability to use email, compile reports and spreadsheets for parts and project tracking
Must be willing to work in uncomfortable working conditions (dirt, summer heat, lubricants, etc.)
Must be able to handle occasional heavy lifting of materials/tools
Knowledge in robotic/CNC systems with ability to support the electronic interface, mechanical installation, design/fabrication, repair and maintenance for automated production equipment
