Responsibilities
Oversee the daily field operations of a Land Survey Crew
Determine the most efficient plan of action for field surveys through all field project phases
Proficient with documentation of work performed, field notes and sketches
Communicate daily with the Chief of Crews, the associated Project Manager and technician regarding the project schedule and progress of work
Interact professionally with client representatives and landowners
Read and interpret drawings/specifications and understand all aspects of the land survey project specifications and tolerances
Perform regular field QA/QC checks to ensure the data collected is accurate
Conduct routine safety precautions including daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews, near miss reporting and incident reporting
Prepare daily reports, time sheets, and other required paperwork
Oversee the maintenance of the field vehicle and field equipment
Qualification
Required
5+ Years of Industry Experience
Competent Operating Total Stations, GNSS Receivers, Data Collectors, Tablet PCs, Digital Scanning Equipment
Computer & Technical Skills
Professional Verbal Communication Skills
Ability to Work in All-Weather Climates
Ability to Walk Long Distances Through a Variety of Terrains & Carry Equipment
Coordinate with Chief of Crews & Project Manager to Ensure Project Requirements are Met in the Field
Proven Work History & Strong Work Ethic
Ability to Identify & Troubleshoot Issues & Problem Solve Accordingly
Ability To Successfully Perform Within A Team Environment
