Responsibilities

Manages the daily configuration and operation of various systems
Plans and monitors the optimization of system operations and resource utilization
Performs systems capacity analysis and planning
Oversees the assistance provided to users for business system access
Provide timely and effective applications maintenance and repair on all CIB supported software applications
Provide efficient performance monitoring of all CIB supported applications, issuing timely and accurate notification of application outages to CIB management
Collect, store, and analyze data relevant to monitored applications to perform and report accurate root causal analysis of all related issues and to support trend analysis and forecasting
Ensure effective change management of all OCICB-supported software applications

Required

Experience supporting clinical technology, including, but not limited to, system administration, configuration management, and lifecycle management
Experience monitoring systems for unanticipated issues and reporting on systems performance metrics
Experience applying troubleshooting techniques across various server, application, and network technologies
Experience with security standards and best practices, including authentication and authorization mechanisms
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security or related field
Active Public Trust or higher security clearance
Strong supervisory skills in managing system configuration and operation
In-depth knowledge of optimizing system operations and resource utilization
Proficiency in performing systems capacity analysis and planning
Excellent leadership and communication skills to assist users in accessing business systems
Extensive experience working with mainframe, mini, and client/server-based systems
Minimum 6 years' experience supporting Health IT software development initiatives
Reside within the Washington DC Metro area
Travel within the Washington DC Metro Area, and CONUS as needed

Preferred

Prior experience supporting NIH is desired but not required
