They are seeking an Internist to join the West Pavilion Internal Medicine team as Section Chief, responsible for leadership, mentorship, and ensuring quality medical services to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients

Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and always ensures coverage of case load

Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care

Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients

Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards

Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services

Acts as a patient advocate

Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities
