Industrial Logistics Engineer - in the factory with AI-powered machines
Siemens is a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. They are seeking an experienced Industrial Logistics Engineer to optimize material flow and enhance warehouse operations in their Fort Worth factory, which is undergoing significant production ramp-up. The role is critical for ensuring efficient logistics processes that support the factory's growth and sustainability goals.
Responsibilities
Improve Lineside material delivery systems
Develop Supermarket inventory and replenishment strategies
Support Vertical Lift Module (VLM) operations and integration
Implement improved warehouse layouts and material handling strategies lead to more efficient use of space, equipment, and energy
Integrate new customers and product designs into current logistics processes
Develop logistical systems & processes to adapt for fluctuating demand and disruptions in supply chain
Adopt new technology to eliminate waste and improve operational efficiency across all logistical enterprises
Reduce waste in material handling and inventory management to minimize product damage and obsolescence
Optimize internal transportation to reduce the need for external movement, leading to lower carbon emissions
Qualification
Required
Bachelors in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field
5 -7 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management couple with industrial engineering experience
Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred
Master's degree in Logistics
Strong understanding of intralogistics processes, warehouse management systems (WMS), and material handling equipment
Experience with automation technologies (PLCs, sensors, robotics, AGVs/AMRs)
In-depth understanding of inventory control principles, methodologies (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, ABC analysis), and best practices
Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain processes
