Responsibilities
Develop and communicate engineering plans, sequences, dumping priorities, etc. to operations and other stakeholders on site and ensure plans are carried out safely and efficiently
Assist in end of month reporting for leach pad deliveries as well as other necessary regulatory reporting
Work closely with the mine operations team to execute on designs and plans safely and efficiently
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering or related degree required
Excellent safety record with the ability to demonstrate safety leadership required
Team leadership, problem solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions for extended periods of time required
Ability to cross-train within the mining engineering group required
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
Preferred
Zero (0) to One (1) years' experience Open Pit mining preferred
Experience using Vulcan, Qpit, AutoCAD, Xeras, Deswik, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
