Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects and tasks for a variety of client types on the private development side of the office
Act as the lead civil engineer of record on projects. Coordinate with other disciplines, as necessary
Responsible for development of and maintaining client accounts
Prepare proposals for new & existing clients (including estimation of project fees)
Oversee the development of Land Development Plans; this includes the preparation of engineering design drawings, technical specification, and engineering reports (from schematic design through construction)
Coordinate permits through regulatory agencies for large scale, complex projects
Delegate workload to Junior Engineers & Drafters; this includes mentoring / guiding Junior Engineers to develop Stormwater Management [SWM] strategies, Utility Coordination, and Erosion & Sediment Control [E&SC] Design
Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or a similar discipline)
10+ years of professional experience working in Engineering with a focus on land development and associated permitting
PE license in NJ. Other states a plus
Preferred
Management and/or Project Management experience; proven ability to manage multi-discipline projects is strongly preferred
Advanced expertise working with design and permitting activities
Experience working with water resources (such as stream and waterway restoration)
Experience with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, GIS, analytical programs, etc.); experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS / ArcInfo
Experience with H&H tools (e.g.: HydroCAD, InfoSWWM, OpenFlows WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, & SewerGEMS)
Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude
Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); technical writing skills are strongly preferred!
