Responsibilities

Inspect construction work to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements; this includes ensuring that structures comply with Construction & Permit documentation
Serve as our Quality Assurance Representative to monitor and review the drawings / specifications of reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel, and foundation construction projects
Read drawings & specifications, write reports, create sketches, and coordinate with the Engineers, Contractors, and Clients
Work at varying heights and enter tight spaces to conduct steel/welding inspections
Perform site safety and environmental hazard inspections
Prepare reports (including field observations)
Contribute to RFI [Request for Information], shop drawing review, and other technical requests
Coordinate site visits with Contractors and/or Architects
Collaborate as part of a team to develop structural construction documentation; this includes working with internal team members as well as external clients / partners
Contribute to the development of structural drawings for submittal and production purposes (as-needed)
Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed

Required

2+ years of professional experience working in Construction Inspection, Structural Engineering, Design, and/or Drafting
Valid Driver's License
Reliable Transportation

Preferred

Associate's degree (or higher) in a technical field of study (preferably Civil Engineering or Structural Technology)
Experience working with a variety of construction projects, preferably with field inspection and documentation responsibilities
Experience working at varying heights
Proven ability to perform and engage in physically-demanding work
Proficiency with basic computer systems and software; this person will be expected to use MS-Office (e.g.: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Adobe
Exposure to technical tools (e.g.: AutoCAD, BlueBeam Revu, Revit BIM, etc.) is a plus!
Proven ability to work independently or in a team environment while demonstrating strong character and dependability
Proven ability to work overtime, as needed
Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
