Responsibilities

Work directly with clients and the sales team to accurately scope and define complex security service engagements, ensuring alignment with client needs, project objectives, and resource availability

Conduct thorough technical assessments to identify key deliverables, estimate project timelines, and draft accurate Levels of Effort (LOE) and resource requirements for fixed-fee projects

Develop and refine Statements of Work (SOWs), create SOW templates, and align scope and client needs to both existing service offerings and custom solutions

Act as the lead technical resource during presales meetings, delivering presentations, answering detailed technical questions, and building client confidence

Lead and execute advanced client engagements focused on the deployment, optimization, and operationalization of the full Tanium module suite (e.g., Interact, Comply, Patch, Asset, Discover)

Develop and test complex, high-performance Tanium custom sensors, packages, and custom Connect integrations to address unique client security and operational challenges

Serve as the final escalation point for technical issues related to Tanium deployments, troubleshooting complex platform, agent, and network communication problems

Provide strategic guidance to clients on leveraging Tanium for critical initiatives like vulnerability management, asset inventory, incident response, and compliance reporting (e.g., CIS Benchmarks)

Document and socialize best practices, SOW templates, and delivery methodologies to junior consultants and the wider practice team

Stay current with the Tanium product roadmap and develop new service offerings and intellectual property (IP) around emerging capabilities

Required

Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity consulting or enterprise security engineering, with at least 5 years focused specifically on the Tanium platform in a deployment/operations role

Proven experience in a client-facing capacity, including successfully scoping, pricing, and articulating complex security solutions to both technical and executive audiences

Expert-level proficiency with Tanium Core and a majority of its modules (Interact, Connect, Trends, Asset, Comply, Deploy, Patch, Discover)

Demonstrated experience writing and optimizing custom Tanium sensors using VBScript, PowerShell, Bash, or Python

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills necessary for SOW development, report writing, and client presentations

Current Tanium Certified Administrator (TCA) and Tanium Certified Operator (TCO) certification is required, or the ability to obtain them both within 60 days of hire

Ability to travel up to 25% to client sites

Preferred

Prior experience working for a major consulting firm or a large security integrator

Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

Experience integrating Tanium Connect with SIEM, SOAR, or CMDB tools (e.g., Splunk, ServiceNow, Azure Sentinel)
