Responsibilities
Supervises all aspects of the radiology pre-authorization systems including insurance verification, scheduling, and authorization for radiology procedures
Trains and assists secretaries/staff members with the process
Provides a high standard of customer service to all customers, patients, their families, and physician offices
Represents the radiology department positively to physician offices to improve patient referrals and streamline processes
Assists in secretarial duties when needed and/or assigned
Works with internal and external communication and customer service initiatives
Serves as first line coordinator resource for other departments/customers
Works closely with department leadership and the Patient Access Systems to provide information
Performs other duties as assigned by Radiology Supervisor, Radiology Manager, and Radiology Director
Qualification
Required
BLS certification through AHA or ARC preferred
2 year Associate's Degree
3+ years' secretarial/clerical experience in healthcare setting highly preferred
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
High School Graduate / GED
Associate Degree
